**Born:-14/12/1948
**Life:- Born in Bangladesh (East Pakistan) in Faridpur district (village-Fukro,Madaripur sub-division).Brought up in maternal uncle's place in Paschim Putiyari in Tollygaung,Kolkata.

Graduated from Calcutta University in 1970.
Diploma from Govt. College of Art & Craft, Kolkata in Fine Arts (1st Class 2nd) in 1972.

**Group & joint Exhibitions:-
1. "Painters From Bengal" exhibition organised by "Srinwantu"art organisation at Mumbai in 1968.Among other participents were leading painters of West Bengal like Ganesh Pyne,Bikash Bhattacharya etc.
2. Ashesh Mitra Award at Annual Exhibition of Govt. College of Art & Craft, Kolkata in 1971.
3. Joint Exhibitions : (i) 1976,at Birla Academy of Culture,Kolkata with Ashoke Bhowmik,Tilak Mondol,Rebanta Goswami,Prasanta Niyogi.
(ii) 1981,at Academy Of Fine Arts,Kolkata with Ashok Biswas,Pradeep Bose,Ramaprasad Ghatak,Asim Basu,Monoj Mitra.
(iii) 1983,at Academy Of Fine Arts,Kolkata with Ashok Biswas,Pradeep Bose,Ramaprasad Ghatak,Asim Basu.
(iv) 1998,at AIFACS with Pritthiwish Sikdar,Chandrasekhar Achariya,Asim Basu,Subuddha Ghose,Dipankar Dutta.
