About Me:

"I'm dancing with insanity, and I love to rock'n roll, I'm satans secret sorcerer on the lookout for your soul". (© Manfred Marburger).
Actually I'm possessed by the creative process, art for me is a release as well as a constant questioning of my own personality and the space around me. Thus my artistic interest leans very much towards "the artist as psychologist" or maybe it is the other way round: "the artist as madman" - only time will tell. I like to deal with outward expressions of inner feelings in a more or less realistic way ("Condition Restless"). Another "morbid" interest I nurture is in places where time has left her signature: "bleeding" houses, "fragmented" buildings, landscapes with scars...... About my art: I like my art to be like rock music....confront viewers ..... make people think....... react. My work covers various topics (Black Eros, Peacock Park, Automatic Drawings, Victims and Sinners, to name a few) and I use a variety of techniques within my work to achieve my aim. Last not least I write poetry, some of which I turn into lyrics for my excursions into the legendary land of rock n roll (as with my band Mishima in the 80s and 90s).

Favorite Music:

Rock Music, Classical Music, and Jewish and Middle Eastern Fusion music.

Favorite Films:

I don't keep track of the movies I watch, but directors who come to mind (in no particular order) are Sergei Eisenstein, Leni Riefenstahl, Pier Paolo Pasolini, Federico Fellini, Ken Russell, Derek Jarman, Nicolas Roeg (Performance),

Favorite Artists:

Too many to mention, but Bosch, Rembrandt, Bacon and Bellmer have left a lasting impression.
