Profile Information

About Me:

'My name is Lesley Grindlay. I'm Originally from Zambia and was raised in South Africa. I attended an art and commercial college (high school) where I studied art and design. I started out painting portraits of local college students in watercolor, went onto painting african wildlife in oils and then back to painting people. My prefered subject.

About My Art:

My move to the coast has opened a new book for me and although the pages are blank, they will soon be filled with images of coastal life. The loss of my paintings due to the accident swept a wave of pain over me, a deep void yet to be filled with new memories. I've picked up my brushes and began painting the color charts Richard Schmid swears by. Producing them certainly has sparked a new love for color and its endless possibilities. The passion remains, however, the pain still soars thru me with waves of sadness.
