About Me:

I have been painting for 30 years since a child. I studied art at Kent Institute at Art and Design in the 1990's. I started exhibiting in 1990 then because of work I didn't start painting and exhibiting again until 2006. My dream? To paint full time!

About My Art:

I am a figurative painter I paint the absurd, I like the surreal and odd! My themes are archetypal and come from religion, myth and older art. I use images from old postcards, old photographs and literature. I also love horses and try to incorporate them where possible. I paint in oils and use Hardings and Old Holland.

Favorite Music:

Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, Henry Purcell, Medieval Music, Johnny Cash, The Four Tops, Antony & the Johnsons, Reggae and Calypso.

Favorite Films:

Moulin Rouge, Groundhog Day, Cyrano de Bergerac, Brief Encounter, Nosferatu, Frankenstein, Bride of Frankenstein, The Invisible Man.

Favorite Artists:

Max Beckmann, Francis Bacon, George Stubbs, Early Renaissance artists,George Rouault
