About Me:

Studied arts in the UCAD (Union Centrale des Arts Décoratifs) in Paris.
Many exhibitions in Paris,Berlin,Geneva,Brussels,Barcelona.
Won a first prize competition of creative chairs.
Received several french awards for my work.

About My Art:

My Main stream has been the reconsidering of art categories by talking about life and people through a chair ! Since anyone can sit on it (my chair),since it can prop the most intimate part of our body,the chair may become the confident of my deepest thoughts.The very act of sitting becomes important and through my chairs,I wish to stimulate the viewer and carry him into my way of thinking.The"chair-language" I use for all these reasons is a way of expressing my feelings with a great freedom of speech.
On the artistic point of view ,my using a"chair-language" is a way of getting rid of artistic classifications that impede creativity :
Is it a chair ?
Is it a sculpture ?
Is it a decorative object ?
It is none of the three ideas and all of them at the same time.
Do you usually sit on a sculpture ?
My chairs are "trouble-makers": they ask questions but never answer ,it is the viewer who does .
My second and very important stream is painting . Looking for pure lines and harmony of colours in a soft geometric sometimes surrealistic way .
Painting is like the air I breathe...a sort of relief , a necessity.
I am always searching and searching for...an impossible self-content
My third and rather new stream is digital photography .

Favorite Music:

Traditional ,old,jazz of the 20's up to the big bands in the 40's .
Salsa,flamenco,tango...
Classical music too:Bach,Beethoven,Mozart
Opera :Verdi my favorite
and hip hop and all kinds of music as long as it is "good" to my ears !!!!!

Favorite Films:

"Gran Torino" with Clint Eastwood

Favorite Artists:

A lot ! and many ! Magritte,Picasso,Rothko,Bacon,Miro,Dali.........

LES MURS ONT DES OREILLES "Las paredes tienen orejas"

« Les murs ont des oreilles… »

On dit que les murs ont des oreilles , et si les murs pouvaient parler de la souffrance insupportable des exclus : ceux qui sont de l’autre côté ?
Et si les murs pouvaient crier pour exprimer l’oppression et l’étouffement de l’homme par l’homme ?
Même la nature honteuse de l’homme s’évertue à cacher ces excroissances nauséabondes .
Négations de notre liberté
Symboles de séparation, d’isolement et de haine
Symboles de notre incapacité à accepter l’autre dans sa différence …..
Et pourtant , c’est bien l’homme qui construit les murs encore et encore pour son propre malheur.
Alors pourquoi ne pas construire un « mur d’amour » où chaque brique d’amour
unirait les hommes les uns aux autres , « un mur d’union » , transparent et infini,
sorte de garde-fou à notre noirceur ?

Claudie, this is very beautiful, there is a soft flow, then there is a motion of dynamic energy on top.. This has many layers, quite complex.. The Golden color on top just deepens this illusion of depth. A treat for eyes and the brain, great work.
