THE B-UNCUT GALLERY

After our announcement of the gallery several of you have approached us to ask how to submit work for the gallery.

Work for the gallery should be submitted asap to the following email address: buncutgallery@gmail.com.
the work should be accompanied with the following information: title, media, year, size, price.

Everyone needs to include a short bio/vision statement

All buncut members should submit between 5 and 20 works.
We reserve the right to choose whether or not to include the submitted work on the gallery site. Choose your best work. We are trying to build a reputation as a small quality direct resource for art lovers.

Also consider if you want to be part of the store as well. We use images on t-shirts, cards, notebooks etc. You can choose the merchandise. Then we have a link to your page at the store if buyers can't quite afford your art but would love the notecards.

Finally the gallery will have links to your studios here at b-uncut.net so make sure your profile puts your best foot forward.

What if I've got great files for art which I have sold..
but would like to submit them for possible store/t-shirt/merchandise possibilites? May I post the work or do you need all work to be available to sell also?

Kara, can we add pics to the gallery ourselves or do you have to do it ?

IMO, slideshows are good for an individual artist's website, but for a visitor to the virtual gallery )possible collector), I wonder if they will go thru lots of slides--I don't when I visit sites--they take too long to load--the virtual gallery is a zippy way to zoom in on what you like there...

"I love it! I think it encompasses the whole image of b-uncut as being a forward thinking movement of artists who are revolutionising the way in which art is seen.
I love the energy of it and the way the momentum propels you through it as though you are in a real gallery."

I' d love to have my art up there one day as I think my art work is about movement and flow and energy. I think it's brilliant !

Yes I agree with Kara, I think that the spinning is very important to the whole thing, because a static gallery would be boring and take away this special artistic touch. To me this is a gallery in the line of the "happening" movement.

My first critcism. But we'll probably be keeping the spin . All the buyers love the movement. they enjoy being able to easily scroll it. When I've physically shown it to collectors all of them linger on the circle finding pieces they like etc.

I think that you are supposed to go really slowly with the gallery and put your cursor in the middle of the screen so as not to get the spinning ! It takes a little while to get used to, but once you are, it's well worth it !

Hi,

I just visited the gallery for the first time..I am dizzy...Why the spinning images? a friend of mine had this on her website and finally got rid of it after so many people complained...I love the slide shows that are part of the artist individual galleries..Why not use this for this gallery? It seems cleaner and presents the work better...
