Some new screen prints up if anyone is interested. Last ones for this year. Will be working on a large norwegian stamp and some bathroom print projects next year. All the best over the festive season.

Hi Marie. There is only one plate which is about postcard size. Then printed various colours over a period of time. I cropped them down in photoshop to get the circle effect for web appearances. The originals look so much better in there rectangular format and hopefully even better once they are framed. Many thanks for your interest.

My first series of etchings. This involved using copper sulphate and aquatint along with a hard ground. I have cropped the etchings into a series of four. The last two were an attempt to do a la pupee.

Well only a week to go before the new students come back into the print workshop. Just about ready for them. In the meantime i have finally got round to doing some etching using copper sulphate and using aquatint as well. It has been an enjoyable experience and something i am going to get into in a big way hopefully. Has anyone had some expeience of coppersulphate etching. All the printing I do is toxic free!

Hi all. Been extremely busy the last couple of months with helping students put up there degree shows. Then been on holiday and now back to put up postgraduate show. I may eventually get to finish my ongoing woodcut. Just been to Glasgow to see 'Inkie' at the Redcoat Gallery. Great to see street artists doing screenprinting etc. Gave me some much needed inspiration to do some some new screenprints. Enjoy the summer

Lower East Side Printshop, New York, offers free yearlong studio residencies for emerging artists. The application deadline is September 1, 2009 for residencies starting on October 1, 2009.

The Keyholder Residency includes free 24/7 access to a large shared studio with printmaking facilities, stipend, storage space and basic supplies, exhibition opportunities, educational programming, and support services. Artists from all disciplines are eligible: printmaking skills are recommended but not required, and basic instruction in printmaking is available at no cost.

Thanks Tracy--
One thing, since Solar Plate is similar to photography, is that I will have to do
some exposure test strips to get the right time to expose the full plate. Lots of details to consider. But I am steadily at it, not rushing, but working on painting and other projects too...
