I've heard of the PVC supports before. They work rather well for larger panels that tend to bow from their size. Glad you brought that point up. I have some plans for a larger peice project and was considering different support options. I like the PVC for it's lite weight support. As compared to wood supports.

I research artists online frequently, and have encountered unusual supports used for their work, such as Tyvek which is the plastic paper FedEx envelopes are made of, also acrylic paintings on PVC panels as supports--and some art work was labels *Diasec on Dibond*

I agree that it's the work that stands out. But it never ceases to amaze me how far we can push the boundaries when we just allow ourselves to explore the options. I think their is so much untapped in all of us as artist. I find myself pushing the limits no matter what I am painting on. I think that's the biggest thrill out of. Not allowing myself to be confined to just one technique.
