Hi all,here is what i've next.I warmed up the hemlocks in the far background,covered the bare canvas that represented the snow,little more work on reflections,and Lila,the aroma of paint is intoxicating!!

Oh, I so enjoy seeing work in progress. Thank you for sharing. Love the reflections in the water. As you can see, you have put more "impressions" in your painting and only going by the guide for reference. Again, love your color palette. This is a good way to inspire us, if only I could smell the smell of turpentine or paint. Thanks Robert. Love your work! Lila

Hello impressionists,Lila suggested we post works in progress.the second image you see is the basic block in.I used prussian blue because of its greenish tint and indian red and cadmium yellow pale.I thinned the paint with turp to the consistency of water so it's easy to apply and dries qiuckly.This stage took about 20 min.I then stepped back about 15 ft.to get an overall look at it.The second photo shows about 5 min. work,I wiped out some middle tones with a turp soaked paper towell.You can see the reference photo I took above the canvas.Total time so far...30 min.Back to work!

Are there any plein air painters in the group? Most of my work is plein air.It has it's challenges ,quickly changing light,weather and distractions.
