Other than mobile galleries, with the general down-turn in the economy, it's becoming quite popular for curators to rent space on a short-term basis, and simply move around as space becomes available. I think this offers quite substantial cost savings in comparison to the fixed overheads of a permanent gallery space, so perhaps something that more curators should be encouraged to consider. It's especially popular in NYC at this moment.

In an article in Modern Painter magazine, photo of founder of KiptonArt , a site about connecting artists and collectors:

"Join our community of over 700 artists and gain enhanced visibility, sell and exhibit your work. The "self organized" galleries on occasion have opportunities for surrounding artists but not often. It would be nice to have better access to show. The idea of a mobile gallery is a interesting idea. I like it.

You may also include one item of supporting material e.g. Video documentation, text, image or other media.*
